Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati

When Rock Ohio Caesars (a joint venture partnership between Rock Gaming LLC and Caesars Entertainment Corporation) considered the sign package for their new 400,000 sq. ft. gaming facility, they wanted something exciting. Located in downtown Cincinnati, the signage needed to capture the Vegas style and guide people into the new Casino.

Initial conceptual drawings were designed by Kiku Obata, creating a sign package that represented Horseshoe Cincinnati’s vision.

GableSigns was awarded the project, which included many different types of signs and applications, utilizing the latest in digital and lighting technology. The sign package was a perfect fit for GableSigns, who has the complete solution from design capabilities, a qualified team, to products and services including digital components offered by GableVision.  The comprehensive sign package had many components and technical aspects that required an experienced team of designers, engineers, project management, technical support, fabricators, and installation professionals to successfully complete the project.

A dynamic energy-efficient lighting system of LED’s was incorporated into the design, offering over 4 trillion vibrant colors.  Multiple sign components, including GableVision digital boards and specialty lighting features were engineered to work simultaneously with the different sign types, creating a very unique and sophisticated effect, giving the most brand impact for Horseshoe Casino.

The massive 80’ high marquee sign, situated next to the busy Interstate, illuminates the city’s skyline. At the top, a 16mm GableVision digital display showcases a 3D animated rotating Horseshoe, while the rest of the sign is lined with 600 custom changing LED light bars and 400,000 LED lights mounted on a structure built with over 70 tons of steel!

Other signage includes two 16’ entrance signs, designed to replicate the large 80’ sign in a smaller version and features GableVision 10mm LED screens for displaying compelling and exciting content.  Digital Car Counter signs were strategically placed to inform visitors of capacity and availability in their 2,500 space parking garage. Building identification channel letters were also erected on the façade of the Horseshoe Casino.

The unique and distinctive high-tech sign package is one-of-a-kind and represents the new footprint for future Horseshoe Casinos.
